Heaven, paradise or both

Our first few days in the Galapagos Islands have been amazing, so we are pretty excited with what is ahead of us. After finally landing on Isabela island and discovering our beachfront accomodation is sensational, we spent yesterday exploring. Alice and crew did a 17km hike to the nearest volcano and met a friendly local (see the footage below), and I did a walk around Puerto Villamil and also discovered some more friendly locals. After watching them for a while, and a few swims in the warm ocean and hotel swimming pool, it was back to my accomdation for a siesta. Later that afternoon we visited the markets and bought some smoked chicken and chorizo for dinner (Alice had some beans and salad!). We also grabbed some local soup which consisted of lobster, fish and octopus in a delicious broth. We had dinner sitting on the deck of the beach house watching the wildlife - including seals, pass by. Tomorrow we have an easy day visiting some penguins and sharks!
