Today we broke the record for modes of transport to arrive at a destination, but gee was it worth it. First a taxi, then plane, then bus, then a short boat trip, followed by another taxi, until a boat taxi, then a 2 hour boat ride, then another boat taxi, finally another taxi to our most incredible beachside location at Puerto Vilamil which is the only town on Isabela, the largest of the Galapagos islands. The beachside location is magnificent, and it was no surprise to see seals, iguanas, penguins and multiple bird species on our arrival. We briefly stopped over in Santa Cruz - the second largest island to join the organised chaos at the ferry wharf to get to Isabela.
