Yesterday was our travel day back to Santa Cruz, after a magical time on Isabela. But before we would get the water taxi, high speed boat and another water taxi to Puerto Ayora, we went for a walk to the National Park to kill a few hours. We found some beautiful beaches, some amazing lava tunnels, stacks of iguanas, some of them swimming, and the biggest mangroves I have ever seen. So tall that you could walk amongst their roots! The two hour fast boat they use now is a lot better than the old way to travel to Isabela and return, which was an 11 hour overnight trip on a fishing boat (and you had to provide your own blanket!). On our arrival back in Puerto Ayora we decided to take the challenge and try the street food on Calles De Los kioskos. Dozens of hawkers try to get you to eat in their cheap restaurants, but we settled on one that offered "Fish & Drinks" and it was delicious.

Today we went back across the island to meet our home for the next 10 days. Our Galaxy luxury yacht. Our first stop will be North Seymour Island where we hop to see some male frigates (those with the bright red chins!) more blue footed boobies and a host of other species, before settling back into some gin & tonics on this beautiful ship.
