Started yesterday with a stroll through the mangroves to the turtle breeding centre, via a lake with a few of the brightest pink flamingoes I have ever seen. It was hot and humid so on our return we had a swim in the ocean followed by a swim in the pool, followed by a coco loco (fresh coconut with a dash of cane rum!) and that's just the morning.

In the afternoon we took the Tintoreras Tour - which is the name of the white tipped reef shark. But first we checked out the Galapagos penguins. In addition we saw sea lions, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, pelicans and zayapas (colourful crabs). We went for a walk along the lava to check out the iguanas breeding site. It was then time to get in the water to swim with sea turtles, starfish, tropical fish, rays, a seahorse and sharks. This island is a smorgasbord of wildlife - Like a perfect zoo with no fences. Everywhere you look is something unique and amazing.

Today we leave Isabela for Santa Cruz and tomorrow we begin our boat tour of the Galapagos. If what we have seen so far is any guide we are in for a real treat over the next two weeks.
